Electric technology has opened up new avenues for designers, and Hugo Eccles has wasted no time in seizing the opportunity. Co-founder and Design Director of Untitled Motorcycles, Eccles latest is a collaboration with fellow California-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero. Based on the Zero SR/F, Zero brought Eccles on early in development, meaning the UMC XP Zero retains all of the outstanding qualities of the original while looking radically different. Eccles's first ride on the Zero SR/F put him in mind of piloting a jet, which lead to the inspiration for XP's design. Thinking in terms of aircraft control surfaces, the XP features single-piece bodywork with soft angles that meet the central trellis frame. The aircraft theme also extends to the materials, with aircraft-grade aluminum used throughout. The final touch is radical LED beam lighting that accentuates the bike's lines.
